I was a bit skeptical when I bought it for my daughter but it's amazing way surpassed my expectations it's a great beginner microscope for a 7 year old and it's even more of an adventure for the parents !

Complete piece of junk. Can see light, can see dust, but can't see anything on the specimen slides. It was a Christmas present to stepdaughter; we didn't open it until after, so missed the return window. The minute I opened it and realized the cheap, poorly written instruction "manual" (hah - it's a brief useless piece of trash - was written by foreigners, I could have figured this was junk. Junk!!

This was so well packaged. I couldn't wait to get started.it comes with blank slides and covers,I made a few slides while also looking at the ones it came with. Nothing was wrong with it,tried the colored filters and learning my way around everything.very pleased. Great for older children and adults.

I researched microscopes a lot and knew I needed a high resolution to really be able to see cells etc. This microscope turned out to be great. My 9 year old is looking at EVERYTHING! I love it because you can just look with a low magnification at a wing or bug leg and it's like a fantastic magnifying glass, or you can switch the magnification to 2500 and see cells. It comes with a bunch of premade slides and extra slides and cover plates. It also comes with a phone holder to take photographs through the lens, and an attachment to see images on the computer. I had one like this when I was little and I am super pleased that it turned out to be great. It's also excellently packaged, so arrived in tact. I'd definitely recommend this!

I didn't expect a proper microscope to begin with, and I needed one as soon as possible with a mechanical plate that was also cheap. Even if my expectations were low, it comes with 4 lenses of which only 2 are usable. X40 and x100 are literally useless since the Z axis does not get close enough. Luckily I am fine with 4x and 10x for what I needed for, so I don't give it back.About the software, I have no idea if the mini CD even works. I don't have a reader since many years. I googled a little and found someone with a link to download the same software for another microscope and it worked. Sadly the camera catches a reflection from the inner mirrors and thus I never use it like that. Also, my phone makes better pictures.Another thing that annoyed me is that the image in the binocular is mirrored. Left is right and vice versa. Small things, I know, but still.Despite the disappointment of those featuees, Iwould actually give more stars if half of the microscope (the other two lenses) were usable, but that's not the case.
