I wanted these to extend climbing gear I hang from a daisy chain rail in my Notch Approach bag. And they did the trick. I can now open my bag, remove my helmet, and flop daisy chain items over the top and outside. Making it quick and easy to access those items, as well as harness and ropes, in the bottom of the bag.

As with all life-safety items, you should verify the ratings and certifications and be comfortable with the manufacturer's claims. These are labeled with CE2008/EN566, but not UIAA. They look and feel very nice, with dense stitching and well-finished manufacturing. I have trusted my life to far worse looking devices, but I was a lot younger and dumber then. I completely trust these to hold up my hammock or work as positioning and retention slings, but I'm going to stick with famous brands when I'm hanging my life on them. They held up great with my fat rear end in a hammock, and I'll be happy to keep using them that way!

Seem well made, brightly colored, with no sign of fraying. Should work fine

These VFKENA brand 48 inch slings seem excellent to me. I’m in first year of rope climbing but wanted this 4ft one primarily to play around with the reasonable functionality of an improvised chest harness without committing to an actual harness because for now I’m just learning and experimenting. I don’t expect that to be a common actual use, but you can always make slings shorter by properly looping them but look up the proper way to make sure your loops are redundant.I was drawn to these 18mm wide nylon slings primarily for the comfort of their additional width compared to dyneema, but also its comparative strength performance when knotted, which can add a lot of functionality. The orange with 10 black braces is great both if I want to carry this for some reason while hunting (it just occurred to me the other day to see how different this feels versus my light single webbing strand back support while saddle hunting - you never know), but also for ease of quality inspections any loose or worn threads will stand out.I don’t have any reservations about using these slings for any intended purpose. Very well thought out and manufactured product. Couldn’t be happier.5 stars.

These are super handy for so many things besides climbing, I don't have enough space here to fully describe it. First, these live on my motorcycle for the odd time I need help getting the bike out of a tough situation. They're long enough when combined to work as a tow strap, and can be split up to form a triangle attachment on two parts of the bike, which is helpful for getting it righted with a ratchet strap if it gets upside down off-trail.They also work the business for creating attachments to lash something awkwardly shaped in the truck bed. Or, sometimes I use them with a gantry lift in the garage to quickly rig something odd-sized to lift. Other times I use them around smaller trees to hang my hammock.Basically they're a super strong and very useful addition to your rigging kit which you'll use often. And orange is great, because you never loose track of one on the ground. Great value and utility.
