I've tested the small breaker tags on MCBs from ABB, Contactum, Crabtree, Fusebox, Merlin Gerin, Schneider, Square D and Sursum.ABB:-MCB and main switches can be locked out (black tag).Contactum:-9100 series main switches can be locked out (black tag).93203 double-pole RCBOs need a wire lockout; the black tag can be removed even when padlocked.7100 series MCBs require a thin wire lockout as the holes are too small.Crabtree:-Loadstar MCBs can be locked out (black tag).Loadstar/Starbreaker main switch needs a wire lockout as it's too big.Starbreaker MCB: depends on the model. Light grey dolly: black tag. Dark grey dolly: if necessary nip out the plastic either side to reveal the lock holes, then use blue tag.Fusebox:-All a bit of a squeeze but doable (black tag).Merlin Gerin / Schneider / Square D:-MCBs can be locked out (black tag)Sursum:-MCB can be locked out using one hole on the dolly and one on the MCB (blue tag).For all of the MCBs tested it's possible to both lock the breaker off and lock it on; in this case it can still trip, but it ensures the breaker can't just be switched off without being unlocked.The set includes a pair of multi-lock "handcuffs" to allow a single device to be locked with several padlocks. These can be used on large switches which have a lock hole, or the "plug lock" box that also comes in the kit and which can be used on anything up to a 16A industrial plug. The handcuffs are too big for the MCB lockouts.The two odd-shaped ones are circuit breaker locks for medium-sized circuit breakers, not for MCBs. They're designed to screw down onto the switch dolly, the cover then folds over to block access to the screw, and padlocked in place.The padlocks seem pretty good, using a type of wafer lock where the key bitting is along an internal track rather than the outer edge of the key, similar to some car keys. They're keyed to differ, so don't mix the keys up! Note that the keys and locks aren't numbered, so if you lose both keys you're going to need to break the lock open to get it off.There are also tags which can slide onto the padlock shackle to give a clearer notice that it's locked out and who locked it.The whole lot comes in a little padded bag which can easily strap to a belt or a carry handle.All in all a pretty useful kit, but some instructions wouldn't go amiss, especially for the screw-on breaker locks, which would be insecure if not installed properly.

This is a great kit that works with all manner of brands and styles of equipment.Fits well and operates exactly as it should making an ideal bit of gear for the tool bag.Nice quality and feels substantial and secure.
