Do they work? Yes. Do they leave you a nice clean set of threads? Kinda. As other reviews have said, they need to be deburred. Even after that, they will cut the top of the thread pitch off and leave you with what looks like rounded threads but they’re not. But this set is very cheap. If you want matco quality threads, spend matco money. This is the set you use it you have only used thread chasers once or twice in your life on a rando 200k mile truck you bought to haul firewood and don’t know expect it to last anyway.

Tidy kit for chasing out / cleaning threads ~ used gently on alloy engine parts....worked a treat.

I read a few reviews saying theirs broke. When using thread chasers or tap and die sets you have to be very careful. Go in a little and come back out to clear the chips and use cutting fluid (oil) . That being said I used cutting fluid for a tap and it was super easy to use, had all the sizes I needed and turned out great. I do wish there was a handle but for the price it's a good set.
