Meine Freunde im Discord fragten mich direkt, warum ich mich so schrecklich anhöre und ob mein Mikrofon kaputt sei. Nein, das ist einfach nur super schlecht, und eine Aufnahme hat es dann bestätigt. Es rauscht, es klingt total gedämpft und unklar. Schade, denn rein optisch passt es hervorragend zu den V-Moda M100 Master Kopfhörern.

I have the original V-Moda Boom Pro. This is a side-grade that I was happy to get as I often game in the same room as my partner. We are only 4 feet apart, and the old mic would pick up her voice unless I set a very high noise gate in Discord. Anything auto/AI noise canceling was hit or miss, as it would decide that her speaking was my speaking.After setting up this mic, ensuring it's within an inch of my mouth, and angling it correctly—wow! She can now yell at her screen and my mic doesn't pick it up at all. The sound quality is a slight step down, but I'm picky about such things and my friends on Discord didn't notice or comment on it.

That's due to a very specific reason and not due to manufacturing quality or V-Moda screwing up.THIS BOOM MICROPHONE ATTACHMENT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE, IT'S MADE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WORK OR PLAY ON A VERY NOISY ENVIRONMENT.Let me tell you that when you work in the service/call center industry or are managing calls for clients, a company, etc. You want to sound as clear as possible with as little background noise as possible.THIS IS NOT ACHIEVED BY THE ORIGINAL BOOMPRO. The original BOOMPRO has an omnidirectional pattern and that one picks up noise from EVERYWHERE.The reason the original Boompro sounds so good is due to it mic pattern being omnidirectional which is great to capture a voices range and sound better. When you're in a silent or quiet room in general, you're best bet is always going to be the original!Back to the Boompro X model, this one is an UNIDIRECTIONAL microphone which is going to severely limit everything it picks up save for the direction the mic is pointing. That is the reason why the "voice sucks" in this microphone compared to the original. A very small unidirectional microphone IS going to sound more "muffled" and less rich compared to the other omnidirectional one! THIS IS BECAUSE THE AMOUNT OF NOISE THAT GETS INSIDE IS MINIMAL!I made some tests with really loud music beside me and also tried it out already in my noisy office with music, people chatting and noises in general. Whoever is on the other side of the mic is going to hear you CLEARLY! No matter how much noise is going on, they are still going to understand you. If you were with the other original Boompro? No dice, people are going to complain of waayy too much background noise.I own a modest pair of headphones: Audio Technica ATH m20x which I modified (very easy to do) to now have a 3.5 jack instead of soldered cable to the phones. So now I can plug in my Vmoda Boompro X! And let me tell you, There is no call center headset that can beat it at that price and I did my research before buying this. For the price that you pay for the ATH 20x modded with the Boompro X, its the best experience you can have for these types of jobs. The headphones completely cover your ears so its not like those small callcenter headsets. You can block out much noise both in your ears and what the other person hears from you.Well this one is a long review, so to sum it up:BOOM PRO X is AMAZING if you are in a noisy environment and need to be heard without the noise.If you are in a quiet or relatively silent place, the BOOM PRO will be your best bet instead.The BOOM PRO X is an underrated, misunderstood, great noise cancelling microphone for anyone working or playing in a very noisy environment.Anyone who is rating it less didn't read the items description (though the seller could make some changes to make it very clear that there is a difference in voice quality for obvious reasons) but don't worry, its not that the mic is bad, its just that its purpose is different!

Ich kann mich Tim Nehrfeld in seiner Rezession nur anschließen.Das Mikrofon ist unterirdisch... Es hat den Vorteil direktional zu sein, und die Umgebung auszuschließen, aber was bringt es, wenn der Vorgänger (BoomPro) um Längen besser klingt, trotz Umgebungsgeräusche.Das muss beim Kauf beachtet werden.Die Tonqualität über das 3,5mm Kabel ist okay, schlechter als beim Vorgänger wenn ich das so beurteilen kann. BoomPro X ist lauter und es klingt leicht verzerrter bei Klassischer Musik... Aber das ist ja nicht der Kaufgrund.Trotzdem einen Stern extra, weil es sehr gut designed ist, eine gute Länge und ein praktisches Verlängerungskabel hat... es ist schön durchdacht und eigentlich ein tolles Kabel, wenn die Technik unter der Oberfläche nicht so schlecht wäre...

Habe es mir über einen anderen Händler bezogen, aber wollte trotzdem eine Review hier lassen, um die Leute zu warnen.KAUFT NICHT DIESES MIKROFON, sondern lieber das ORIGINAL BOOMPRO ohne X.Die Sound Qualität von diesem Mikrofon ist zu vergleichen mit den meisten Gaming Headsets. Kurz: Sie ist schlecht.Das X steht hier leider wirklich für "War wohl niX".Kabellänge ist zwar völlig ausreichend und die Lautstärke Verstellung selber gefällt mir, durch das schlankere Design, besser als beim Original, aber was am Ende zählt ist der Sound und der ist wirklich äußerst schlecht. Vorallem im Vergleich zum original...

For the price you would expect it to have good audio quality , the material is sturdy and the cable is nice but the audio is terrible. It sounds like you are wearing multiple masks on top and it’s not clear at all
