If you're into arts & crafts, these are for you. These delicate dried fern leaves come in three separate vacuum-packed plastic envelopes with a thin cardboard insert. They're preserved well, fully green and pressed flat. But they are pretty delicate--so handle with care. The slightest breeze will carry them away -- plus, you don't want to break off the fragile ends. No weird preservative smell, which is great. And you do get a whopping 36 small ferns, so think of the possibilities!As an artist, I experimented with pressing a fern into wet watercolor paint on the page; and then placing the fern first, and painting around and on top of it. Two different effects. Very pleased with both. I also experimented attaching them to an old lampshade. I'm not sure how to protect the ferns after they're applied. Maybe some sort of protective acrylic coating? They'd also work well behind glass in a simple frame or used in decoupage.I do have to admit, when I saw them advertised as "iron wire fern leaves" I pictured them with bendable wires inside the stems. But that's actually just the name of this particular fern. They're certainly not bendable, so don't even try. Ha! Have fun experimenting!
