🥰+ functional in all the aspects it promises - I couldn't test the hand crank as I wasn't about to sit there cranking for an hour to notice the battery level change, but it's good to have it as an option, along with the small solar panel+ FM radio works well, if a bit crackly, this can be adjusted manually for best sound, with no external antenna one needs to do that quite a lot, but this product isn't for music aficionados so the quality is perfectly fine for the purpose+ the main feature of walkie-talkie communications is well designed and works as expected, obviously the more obstacles in the way the weaker the signal becomes, especially in an urban environment with building walls+ there is an option of encrypting the comms channel which works well, as well as using open channels, which can be heard by everyone using these frequencies+ the torch is nothing to write home about but again, very nice to have in a device like this and works as expected, the strobe functionality is a good addition+ there are numerous in and out ports on the device, allowing it to function as a charger for other devices, as well as allowing headphone use🤔- overall the device doesn't feel cheaply made, although it's very lightweight, but the buttons leave something to be desired - especially the 'rocking' ones, they seem to jump out of position and be at odd angles, which is making me worry that the button top would pop off in an active scenario- because of the above, I feel like the device is on the expensive side - I would buy it when on offer, but I feel that at the moment there are more robust and quality options available for the £89 price

This pair of walkie talkies is a bit of a mixed bag. The styling is a little military, and I personally found the large solid belt clip a bit too cumbersome. The walkie talkies do a decent job of their main function, communications. Their range is pretty decent but you have to remember that these don't use masts, it's direct comms so anything in the way will degrade the sound, a substantial hill or raised landmass will stop all signal. I went to the local shop taking one with me and leaving the other with my wife. We lost connection less than a few hundred meters away, due to houses and going over a brow of a hill. Similarly, when I got to the shop, I would be pretty much direct line but there are too many houses so although we had connection, it was weak and garbled. In an uninterrupted situation, it's a completely different story and they did perform well, not outstanding, but reasonable. The main difference these offer over standard sets, is the "survival" aspects. The solar panel and the wind up power backups could he a real life saver, although the batteries do seem to last a while on one charge. The devices are relatively easy to use, although it took me a while to find the on button (it's on the top and same colour as the body!). I also found the talk button a little awkward as its a big rubber button but only the centre is responsive!I do have concerns over the robustness. They're quite light, and all plastic, but it doesn't feel weak. The main thing for me is the waterproofing. Everything seems tightly screwed together, but the rubber seal over the connections isn't tight, mine came away a few times in use, had it been raining, it would have suffered water ingress likely destroying the unit.Priced at £89.99, these are undoubtedly overpriced. However, with the 50% voucher at the time of ordering, I'd say that these are reasonable, the extras (inc torch and powerbank functions), may help and do give them a bit of a unique selling point, but of these aren't required, a standard set at comparable cost may suffice?

The Quolix Walkie Talkies are packed with useful features like the LED flashlight and SOS alarm, which came in handy during a recent camping trip. The solar-powered hand crank is a nice backup for charging, though it takes some time to charge fully. My only gripe is that they’re a bit bulkier than expected, but they worked well for clear communication over long distances.Great for outdoor adventures or emergencies, just be prepared for the extra size.
