I have tested this out on a fresh water lake under the most benign and ideal of circumstances, on an almost windless day with occasional 1km/h breezes and perfectly calm water.The basic problem with this product is that it just simply lacks the weight needed to "burrow" and thus fails to work as an anchor, I tried this on different seabed surfaces (fine sand near the inlet, coarse sand, clay, rocky and near some fallen trees) The only circumstance where you can get this to hold on to anything is when there are opportunities for it to jam (for example between two rocks or on a tree trunk that had fallen into the lake) obviously all these circumstances come with the risk of you being unable to retrieve the anchor should it get stuck.Another problem is the construction itself; the collapsible arms have very high production tolerances and as such there is a guarantee of sand getting in there and scratching the paint (this manifested itself to me on the very first attempt at retrieving it)Bottom line is that (unfortunately) you can't really cheat physics, an anchor simply needs enough mass to be able to burrow at least in a loose seabed, this does not so unless you have a very specific use case (such as an obvious place to "jam" it at an anchorage you intend to use it at) this is quite simply not a product I can recommend.

Dieser Anker lässt sich hervorragend mitnehmen da das Packmaß sehr klein ist. Er reicht auf jeden Fall aus, um ein SUP an Ort und Stelle zu halten, auch bei mäßigem Wind. Top Verarbeitung schön leicht, gute Funktion. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.
