I bought these trailer ties for trailering my horses on a cross country move. They are of good quality, but about 3-4 inches too short. I solved the problem by tying up a loop of baling twine, & attaching the trailer tie clip to that...but still wish they were a bit longer.

These worked quite well for the short time we were able to use them. However, an hour and a half down the road, the rear axle on my trailer broke, leaving us stranded in a no cell coverage area with a load of three horses we couldn't leave. Thanks to a police officer of the North Cascades National Park service, we got someone to drive the 75 miles with his horse trailer to where were stranded so we could transfer the horses to his trailer and arrange a tow for the trailer.My thanks to the police officer who took two or three hours of his time to make several trips to an area with cell coverage to make arrangements for a tow and to find someone to transport the horses.

I really like this Trailer Tie a lot and it worked well for us on our 18 hour trek with our 13H ponies. For just traveling in the trailer it is a great length. For watering the ponies on the move, the tie was a little bit short and we had to tie our water buckets up higher than I normally would. Love the easy safety release. Maybe the company could make a tie specifically for ponies that would be a few inches longer?
