We have an 8-person hot tub that came with the standard plastic steps you see with most hot tubs. They are ok but I've always had concerns with them. Enter the Hot Tub Ladder/Steps with Handrails. I was able to assemble the steps fairly easily, except extra hands come in handy when trying to line up the hand rail parts with the steps (4 bolt with multiple washers). It comes with cheap tools that do work but it is A LOT easier if you have a drill and socket wrenches.Once assembled, it is easy to level as it has four screw-in feet that aren't tiny like some pieces of furniture. It also has brackets on the front if you want to attach it to a solid surface. Since I have the steps at the front of my hot tub which is also where the controls are AND has the main access panel for the motor, I used some brackets to hold down the sides of the handrails as they protrude about 6 inches making it even more sturdy. The steps appear to be wood and have an ok amount of texture making them less slippery than the plastic ones. The hand rail has a fabric wrap on the tops for extra hand grip as well.Only negative I can note is regarding the listing photo. It makes the hand rails seem really high but they are not at all. They extend maybe 18" above the side of the tub. The top step height is also the same as the original plastic ones so the perspective of the photo is deceiving.Once secured, we're very pleased with the steps and especially the hand rails. It makes getting in and out of the hot tub so much safer. They are worth every penny so far.

I wasn’t sure they would be stable. I did not want to empty my hot tub to attach under the tub. I leveled them free standing and was going to strap them around the entire base of the tub. It was not necessary. They are stable and safe as they are up against the tub. I am very pleased.

Pictures on listing are extremely misleading and upon closer inspection appear to be cut and paste with inaccurate scaling. Shame on me for not verifying the height listed, but the stairs and handlebars are much lower than one would assume based on the main product listing photo.
