I have replaced some of my bee tubes with these clear ones. And ohhhhh it's just great to see them in use. The bees are using them! They have held up to the weather and i have 4/5 bees in each one. Fascinating to see how the bees make thier nests, each nest is sealed. Reusable aswell.

The main problem, with these tubes, is that there's no end cap to them. Mason bees require a chamber to lay their eggs in. These tubes are open both ends and one cannot rely on the tubes fitting neatly against the inner wall of the structure that one is placing them in. I closed one end with Blu tack. A laborious procedure. They should be fitted with end caps, as with the cardboard tubes. Disappointing, considering the cost.

My cardboard tubes are long past their best, so bought these as replacements. The mason bees like them and it's amazing to be able to see the cells the bee makes, fills with pollen, lays her egg, and seals with mud! hopefully they will overwinter successfully.

I bought these tubes to use as part of a solitary bee nesting box. I was a bit disappointed with the quality as I didn't think they were particularly cheap. Some of the tubes were chipped where they'd been cut & some were dirty inside, one even had a dead insect in it - hence only 4 stars. However, I washed them all thoroughly before putting them in the box & the bees love them. So far I have nine out of 55 tubes filled & sealed & others being worked on. I made the box so that one side drops down, allowing me to see the tubes & watch as the bees stock the cells & lay their eggs. My previous bee boxes were made by drilling holes in solid blocks of wood so I couldn't see what was happening inside.Despite my initial misgivings I would recommend these tubes & will probably buy more to make a second box.

Not sure about these tubes as yet, the bees have not used them but seem to show a preference for the bamboo ones I placed out. I mixed the two in a home made red mason bee nester. This is not to say they will not use it, perhaps next year as they seem to have completed laying their eggs now and there are still some empty bamboo tubes as well. Would be good if they do to be able to see what it looks like inside the tube.
