We tried some different gloves and love the 11.5 a500. This is the best for several reasons. It’s pretty much game ready but does need a little break in. It’s top grain leather so it’s lighter, easier to work leather. Top grain leather makes the glove very easy to close and catch with for a young player still developing hand strength. We don’t have issues with the laces coming untied often, laces have to be retied properly when they do come untied. I can see this being a great glove up to 10U, I don’t think there is a better glove for 8U. The 10.5 a500 is a tball size glove but the same quality otherwise. if I could go back in time and was starting first year of tball I’d probably buy the 11 inch a500 and we would have used it from tball through coach pitch.
