Ich nutze die Kamera an meinem Transporter (ohne Scheiben hinten) als Rückspiegel.Die normale Kamera wird sehr schnell geblendet, darum der Tausch.Nun sieht die Kamera im Dunkeln tatsächlich mehr, was beim Einparken nachts schon gut ist, aber der Effekt, dass ein Auto hinten, beim Fahren, nur ein großer weißer Fleck ist, ist auch hier unverändert.Ich würde eigentlich eher die normale nehmen, als die hier zu bezahlen, aber nochmal umbauen, die Lauferei, ich behalte die, aber so richtig empfehlen würde ich sie nicht.

Poor quality replacement camera. Have had 2 of these in the past 4 months and each one has the video cut out, then glitch due to what I think is vibrations and then the camera eventually dies. For something that's meant to be fitted/fixed to a vehicle going on the road which will naturally have vibrations, it's not good enough

Good fast delivery, the cameras are the updated WDR for Wolfbox G900. Have yet to replace the original rear camera but after reading the reviews stating they give better vision at night I decided give it a try as when another car behind me with headlights on gives a blurred picture with the original camera. Have to wait for results.

Nun, ich habe mich schon auf die neue Rückfahr-Kamera gefreut, da ich dachte, dass die Videoqualität besser wäre. Es ist zwar die Farbgebung um einiges besser, jedoch habe ich den Eindruck, dass einfach nur die Helligkeit herabgesetzt wurde. Der Himmel ist definitiv schöner, der Rest einfach nur viel zu dunkel. Bei hellem Tageslicht kann man auf dem Display leider kaum noch etwas erkennen, mit Sonnenbrille fast gar nichts mehr. Da muss man sich schon sehr konzentrieren. In der Nacht merke ich kaum einen Unterschied. Da sind beide Kameras nur mittelmäßig. Der Himmel ist mir eigentlich egal, da ich ja den Verkehr damit überwachen und keine tollen Farbfilme drehen will. Für Letzteres sind beide nicht geeignet und auch nicht entwickelt worden.Zudem ist die Bildschärfe bei der original mitgelieferten (billige Ausführung) Kamera um einiges höher. Die WDR Kamera ist sogar ziemlich unscharf. Das ist merklich und stört!Das erste Bild ist von der WDR Kamera, das Zweite von der im Set enthaltenen Kamera.Ich kann die WDR-Kamera nicht empfehlen und werde sie zurück schicken... Schade :-(

This backup camera works like a dream. The picture quality is superb. I’m not using it as a backup camera. I’ve set it up as part of my dash cam to record the rear of my car and it also acts as my rear view mirror. So it’s constantly on. The picture quality is perfect. I’ll recommend this product.

I admit, I was skeptical, and I was pretty happy overall with the camera bundled with my G840S. I wasn't sure what, exactly, I'd be getting for the forty bucks.I'm so glad I spent them. Seriously.First, this camera has dramatically improved glare reduction over the stock camera. At night, headlights resolve more neatly, instead of becoming pools of smeary, indistinct white light. I had no problem knowing there was a car behind me with the stock camera, but the combination of better glare mitigation and much faster white balance correction as lighting changes meant that the video capture produced useful images with less of a recalibration delay, at night. If I ever need a clear image from a half-second flyby behind me on the recorder log, this camera is much more likely to deliver it than the stock one, for that reason alone. Again, the stock camera wasn't "bad," really -- just average. This one's much, much nicer.It offers a wider field of vision, too -- and yes, that means a little fisheye effect at the extreme edges. That would be annoying, if not that this is a backup camera, and that translates to even better peripheral vision coverage. I've caught people in the parking lot waiting behind and to the side of my car that I couldn't see with the stock camera -- well out of my way, yes, so they weren't safety hazards, but being able to see them at all is a testament to the improved field of vision the upgraded camera offers.White balance and dynamic range are nicer, too, but I really only notice the difference at night. The stock camera was more than adequate during the day, and while this one's a step up, you really feel the difference more at night than in the day.Installation was a snap, as it uses the same connector as the stock camera. Unplug old, plug in new -- I believe it even mounted to the original mounting bracket, identically.If you're basically content but not thoroughly delighted with the stock G840S camera's quality, yes, definitely, buy this one. You'll be glad you did, and I'm pretty confident you'll find it a significant step up from the stock camera. It elevated the quality of my G840S to the next level, and I'm very, very happy with it.
