This dive flashlight stands out as a top-tier option for serious divers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Its build quality is exceptional, crafted from high-quality aluminum with attention to detail. Every edge feels smooth and well finished, with the rounded base design adding a touch of ergonomic comfort—making it easy to grip even when held tightly for extended periods.Despite its sturdy construction, the flashlight remains impressively lightweight at just 7.7 oz with the battery installed, offering a perfect balance between durability and portability. It comes equipped with a powerful 5000 mAh Li-ion battery that delivers ample current to the LED, achieving an output of 2800 lumens. The light beam features a bright and well-defined central hotspot that excels in visibility and reach, surrounded by an evenly lit spill that covers a generous area—ideal for underwater navigation or night exploration. One of the most interesting features is the inclusion of a green laser beam, which is both bright and precise. Originally designed for diving communication or signaling, it’s versatile enough that I’ve even considered using it during presentations due to its sharp visibility. As a true dive light, waterproof performance is non-negotiable. I tested it by submerging it in a deep glass vase for several hours, and it remained completely functional with no water ingress—true to its IPX8 rating.Another welcome improvement over previous models is the hidden USB-C charging port. Unlike the other Wurkkos dive lights that require removing the battery for external charging, this model supports direct charging, which simplifies recharging and eliminates the need for a separate charger—making it far more convenient for travel and field use.

I'll preface this by stating that I don't dive, but the laser pointer in this light caught my attention. A simple three position rotary switch changes between light, laser+light, and just laser. It's super easy to get used to, and the simple controls make it deceptively easy to use. Double click the button to lock or unlock it for safety. Single click to turn it on or off, press and hold to ramp up or down.Pros:-Focused light and a green laser. In the beamshot, it's easily illuminating a pole 125m away. I didn't get a picture of the laser, but the beam was visible at night, which was really cool to see. It's advertised as 5mw, which is probably safe, but I would still treat it with care. Don't point it at people or in your eye, watch out for mirrors, etc.-21700 batteries. Standard, replaceable, rechargeable. They can be dangerous if mistreated, but when inside of devices that have protections, like this light, they should be about as safe as something like your phone.-Built in charger, also capable of reverse charging. Hiding the USB-C port in the threads was a clever way to maintain a water resistant rating, while also increasing ease of recharging. Amusingly, you can actually treat the handle as a mini power bank, and feed it 21700 cells. It's not fast, but it's an option.-Regulated output. Unregulated flashlights will lose brightness as the battery drains, due to the voltage dropping. Regulated lights address this and provide a constant brightness throughout most of the battery life.-Came in a neat plastic case. The case contains a nice lanyard handle for underwater use, a usb cable, and some replacement O rings.Neutral:-CRI is... fine. It's not a high CRI light, but it's not possible to get high CRI and high brightness, at least yet. I do wonder how much that affects it's intended use in diving though. Illuminating an area would be fine, but for inspection, the lower CRI may cause things to look a little washed out.Considering the intended purpose, I think it's a good light. I don't really have anything negative to say. More CRI would be nice, but that would compromise brightness, and underwater, I think brightness matters more. The laser pointer is a great addition, being able to illuminate and precisely point with the same device is quite convenient.

This is my first time trying out a diving flashlight, and the Wurkkos DL03 Diving Flashlight has been the perfect introduction. Right away, I was impressed by the packaging, arriving in a durable plastic case with custom cutouts for the flashlight, tether, charging cable, and spare O-rings. That attention to detail really stood out, especially compared to the usual cardboard box.Out of the box, the DL03 feels sturdy and well-built. The deep, smooth reflector is recessed slightly for much needed protection from the elements, and the rotating bezel has a satisfying, solid "click" with a ridged edge that’s easy to grip even with equipment on. The flashlight offers four brightness levels, ranging from 100 lumens on low to 2800 lumens on turbo, plus a green laser. The bezel’s three-mode selector slides between laser only, combo, and light only, which is very simple, effective, and easy to use, especially in busy environments. The light itself feels great in the hand and runs on a 21700 battery offering excellent runtime—perfect when you’re underwater and can’t afford to change batteries. I have never taken a flashlight underwater before, and owning this light feels like I now owe it to myself to expand my horizons and use it to its fullest potential. Wurkkos really nailed the design and functionality here and this genuinely excites me to see what they release next!

Amazon was quick to ship my new Wurkkos DL03 to me, and honestly, it's seriously impressive. While it's designed as a dive light, that fact actually makes it perfect for heavy-duty use and a large part of the reason that I chose it. Knowing it's built to withstand 100 meters of underwater pressure, it assures me that it can handle anything I throw at it, no matter how bad the weather gets. It's incredibly robust, making it excellent for both in and out of water use, even if I'm not diving with it.One of the coolest features is definitely the green pointing laser. This isn't just a cat toy; it's a powerful laser that projects a clear line as far as the eye can see, or until it finally smacks into something, leaving a distinct green dot. You can use this green laser on its own or combine it with the main flashlight beam using an easily accessible 3-way lever switch. The main light itself offers four versatile brightness levels: low, medium, high, and turbo. Operating it is incredibly simple, even with gloves on; there's just a single, raised, and easily accessible button that turns it on/off with a press, or cycles through the brightness settings with a long press and the 3-way lever switch to toggle between laser only, flashlight only or both. The low setting provides plenty of light for most everyday tasks, and with the rechargeable 18650 battery, it lasts for a really long time. Plus, the built-in Type-C charger is super convenient, making it easy to keep charged and ready to go. When you crank it up to turbo, this flashlight turns into a real beast. A fact that isn't easily captured in the pictures or videos. It's really a must see in person kind of thing. What truly sets it apart are its clever dual reflectors. One creates an incredibly tight, long-range beam that goes much further than I even have space to test, while the other simultaneously floods the surrounding area with light. This combination gives you amazing visibility, both focused and wide.It arrived in a very tough case with custom-cut foam, perfectly protecting the flashlight and all its accessories. Speaking of accessories, you get a manual, extra O-rings, a charging cable, and a genuinely heavy-duty lanyard.I really don't rush into purchases and spent a good amount of time researching flashlights before picking this one. I'm genuinely thrilled with my choice and feel completely confident recommending the Wurkkos DL03 to anyone looking for a top-tier, reliable flashlight.

This is an impressive torch and is built really well. There's plenty of throw in the focused beam, but also enough flood to make it a practical light for daily use. The UI let's you cycle between four brightness settings. The lowest is a good bit brighter than a typical moonlight setting, so probably not practical as a tent/camping light or bathroom light, but otherwise its fine for night hikes or beach walks without ruining your view of the stars. The brightest setting is impressive, and will throw several hundred feet easily, but does get pretty hot to handle within about 90 seconds or so. I did notice some colored bands of light spilling outside the flood, probably due to light refracting inside the edges of the thicker than normal lens. While I am not a diver, the IPX8 rating looks to hold true thanks to the dual o-ring design on both ends of the main tube, along with the 4mm thick lens. This should have no problem holding out water at the 100m rated depth. The integrated 520nm green laser is the icing on the cake, and has many uses - not just for dive instruction. The torch comes in a nice carry case and includes two spare o-rings, a long and high-quality lanyard, and a standard USB-C cable.A protected 21700 Li-ion cell is included, and can be charged via the USB-C port located in the threaded portion of the tube. So, you'll have to remove the head end to get to the charging port. There's in integrated internal LED showing the battery/charging status so you'll know when it's topped off.My only gripes are that I wish this came with a warmer colored emitter option. The SFT70 emitter produces light over 6000K, which is too cool for my preference. Something in the 4000-5000K with high CRI would be perfect. I also wish the UI had a some other modes - strobe, SOS, true 0.1% moonlight, etc.Overall, I'm very impressed. A nice flashlight to add to my collection.
