I use these for various diy projects, occasionally painting 3d figures but also for other things like spreading adhesives where I am less concerned about the quality of the bristles and more with the shape of the brush head. That's where this variety pack really shines. Recommended if you need a variety pack.

These brushes would make a good beginner watercolor set if you are just starting out and you are not sure if you want to invest in more expensive brushes. They hold a fair amount of paint, but dont really have the ‘snap’ that I look for in the brush part. These are definitely a huge improvement over the blue handled and yellow brush part that are for little kids.I tried out several of these brushes and you get a pretty good variety. For myself my most used brushes for watercolor are a # 4 round (they actually have the pointed brush tip) and maybe a few flat brushes. But it is kind of fun to experiment with different shapes, so give these a whirl. They have a good price point and would be a good place to start.

I haven't used the big brushes yet, so I admittedly cannot vouch for those ones yet. But the small tip ones are absolutely heavenly! The items I am painting have really small areas and crevices that are really hard to get into with most paintbrushes, and one stray piece will ruin the paint job. These make it SO much easier. The fine tips are very fine, and it made painting a dream this week!
