XOP hit it out of the park with this one. I tried it for the first time with the cushioned seat, thinking it would provide comfort and it was OK. Tried it a second time without it and I actually prefer it without the cushion. Plus, the cushion adds roughly 1 lb to the carrying weight. The straps that come with the stand weigh 8 oz each. (Another lb.) So, I pitched 'em and replaced them with H.F.A.S. amsteel attachment lines that weigh nothing.

I have hunted from just about every stand out there for more than 50 years. I recently bought this XOP stand and have been very impressed. It is light. Pretty easy to set while hanging from a lineman’s belt. Stable and quiet. Seat height is good. Very good value. I would buy another one if I decide I need another hang-on stand.
