Installing was a breeze and consumed only about 30 minutes of my time, got them for fun just to have them for whenever I need them, and they look amazing connected to hdmi not the most amazing in terms of household tv standards but definitely way worth the money, and they have remote for each unit that’s pretty simple and neat. I personally have them mirrored to my head unit for my sound system demos but all around love it.

It has been 3 months since it was installed on the vehicle. My child had a good time with that monitor. But when I'm driving alone today without kids. The sound of something breaking was heard from the back seat where the monitor was installed.I stopped the car and got out, and saw that the front panel of the monitor had fallen to the floor. The mounting brackets were still well installed and the rear part was well attached as well.Only the front panel was detached. After that, I tried to install it again, but the front panel wasn't fixed well and the monitor didn't work normally either. If you crash the car, that monitor hit your child 100%.Don't matter it was big accident or just contact with other car, or just sudden braking.

I purchased this to be able to play videos in the car to keep our youngest kid entertained on longer road trips.Mounting this to the headrest was very simple. The brackets feel solid and I'm confident that its not going anywhere. The physical install took less than 5 minutes. For me, the monitor wasn't immediately ready for use when you turn on the power. And I didn't feel that the user manual was very helpful. I could never get the device to detect any files on a SD card. I copied MP4 Videos files on the SD card, but none of the test files appeared on the monitor. So I opted to spend more $ and install a ROKU that had Airplay. Setting this up wasn't difficult. It connects to the monitor via the HDMI port. I use my phone's personal hotspot to create a WiFi network that the ROKU can connect to. Then I use Airplay to stream videos wirelessly to the monitor. ROKU also has all of the streaming apps for Disney+, Netflix, etc. But I primarily use Airplay to stream content that I've curated and saved to my iPhone. However, I discovered 2 complications that took some time to work out:First, the iPhone that is connected to the vehicle's Apple CarPlay (wired via USB cable) would not connect wirelessly via Airplay at the same time. Even if I connect Airplay first and try to charge the phone with the USB connection, the vehicle CarPlay kept attempting to connect and caused glitching to both the stereo system and the headrest monitor. The 2nd, my vehicle has the "luxury" feature of shutting off the engine when stopped. When the engine cuts off, this also shuts off power to the car chargers that power the monitor and ROKU device. So you have to let everything restart and go through the reconnection process, which was annoying. This happens anytime I forget to press the button to shut the feature off. I still haven't found a way to keep that feature off permanently.Overall, the picture quality is good. Audio is best through headphones. But we use the built-in speakers to be able to hear what our kid is watching. And once I figured out how to keep everything connected, it works great. It kept our child entertained on our recent 5 hr roadtrip. IMO - Its worth the cost and effort to have peace.

Update: I’ve hassle these installed for almost a year now and they are still working great. I ditched the 12v adapters and just hardwired them to an add-a-fuse that comes on when the car comes on. I also wired a switch in-line with that power line into the center console to make it easy to turn off and on so I don’t need to use the remote.Got this because I wanted a way for the kids (3 and 5) to watch movies on road trips (although they want to watch them on short trips now too!). These do exactly what I need. I didn't want to mess with built-in headrest monitors and I didn't need a built-in DVD player or Android. I just wanted monitors. There work perfectly for that.My stereo has a DVD player built in and a video out (yellow standard video cable). I ran a video cable from my stereo to the center console and hooked it to an rca splitter and then connected the screens to that. For me this setup works because we can control what movies the kids watch rather than let them veg out on a tablet or phone. The picture is great for what it is. You can set the screens to come out automatically when the car turns on or not.The mount is fine and has stayed solid during some bumpy driving. I like that it hugs pretty tight against the headrest.Don't know what someone was saying about Disney+ not working. It has an HDMI input and when I plugged a Roku in Disney+ worked fine, but it's just a dumb monitor, nothing else. Overall for the price I am very happy with these.

Perfect for suburban. Kids love it and so do I. Added roku sticks for both just to give kids a choice to watch whatever they want. Speakers are not the best recommend using headphones when not using car speakers but other than that quality is excellent.
