This just feels like a good product. It's a metal case, the buttons are firm with a solid feel to them, the volume control is smooth. Even the feet on the bottom feel nice.I use this for a difference use case. While screen sharing with headphones on, the volume on the other side is always very low with the solution we use. (but it has no lag so we use it)I use this to attenuate the sound on the headphones so I can leave the volume on high for the streaming software. In effect, it's an inline volume control. This allows me to use the headphones of my choice and still manage the volume smoothly. It works great as a splitter but it works just as well just being a volume control.

I love how this looks a feels. It does a good job switching between sources. The jacks themselves are solid and don't make extra noise when you jiggle the cables. But, the potentiometer isn't linear at all, and it doesn't completely silence the audio source when it's turned all the way down. I'll still use it in the house for some simple music listening on two sets of speakers, but I won't be using it in the studio like I planned. I wouldn't consider this a professional product.

Opening to an all metal unit with solid plastic buttons the first thing that hits you is how cute and tiny it is. Its weighty enough to hold its place on a desk so it wont tilt or move with your headphones (and my headphone cable is thick).Basically everything interally is just a wire routing system to connect these with a large variable resistor for the volume and a hard switch for flicking between devices. This is what allows it to be bi directional because whatever is connected just follows to the other end with the switch flicking between them both.Having a soundbar and subwoofer on one and connecting my philips x2hr's to the other the sound is clear. Sometimes these units can introduce a buzz or a loss of quality because by their nature they act as more resistance to the line but this unit is compact enough it is very minimal.Taking in two connections and eventually finding an old phone with a headphone jack it switched between them both perfectly and again with no additional signal loss or noise.

Perfect for regulating the volume of your external drive, being it headphones, external speakers, or Bluetooth receiver. Really handy to regulate the volume or switching it on and off with a simple click of a button

If you're like me-- and most of us are these days-- we've got technology everywhere. Computers, headphones, speakers, amplifiers, wi-fi gadgets, and you name it. If you're like me, you've spent time on your knees reaching behind equipment to unplug something and to plug in the latest device you need to be able to play through your speaker. This device solves some of those multi-use situations.PROS: This is about as easy to set up as you can get, truly plug and play. It works as described and for the money, it's economical way to save time. You get to set your volume level and save knees and back from climbing down and around electronics to find the right wires to plug or unplug.CONS: None seen or experienced yet. If that changes, I'll be back to update.OVERALL: A great little switch to have around, good quality and easy on the wallet.
