I got this replacement salt cell for my ACE hot tub, hoping it would work just like the original. Installation was quite simple and I do appreciate the clear housing to see what’s going on inside. However, after a few weeks, I noticed the water doesn’t feel as smooth as before, and it seems to need more frequent cleaning than my old cell. It does the job for now, but I’m not sure how long it will last. For the price, I expected a bit better performance. Customer support answered my questions, but overall this is just an okay alternative if you don’t want to pay for the OEM part.

This was an easy install and instantly cleared the water. What a deal! Fraction of the cost of other Ace replacements. If this lasts 8+ mo’s, it really is the most cost effective choice. It has a 1 year warranty too. Give this a try!

This replacement salt cell matched the description and fit my ACE system without any issues. The installation process was pretty straightforward and I didn’t need any extra tools. The instructions were clear, and the wires connected easily.The cell has been running as it should for now, and the clear housing makes it simple to check on its condition. I can’t speak to long-term use yet, but for the time being, it’s working as advertised.Overall, a practical option for replacing an old salt cell. No major problems, just a couple of small things that could be better with the design.

I have a 2018 Hot Spring Grandee NXT spa that uses the ACE salt system. When my second $847 Watkins 76078 Ace cell failed, I was about ready to give up on the ACE system until I found these low-cost 3rd party ACE salt cells.I got this cell as a backup for another unit I have been using for about a year now. I tested this cell to make sure it works, which it does. I like this one better than my other unit because it has a thicker cable, which fits better with the cable grommet on the spa, the instructions are better, and it is lower cost.I just lay the cell flat on the bottom of my filter compartment. I've been buying both OEM and aftermarket versions of these salt cells for many years. These install just like the OEM version but the true test will be how long it lasts in the spa. The fact that they have a one year warranty makes sense for the risk reward analysis. I'll try to edit this review after I see how long it lasts.
