This battery is more than enough for my drill. It’s a bit bulky, but that’s expected given how much power and runtime it provides. The capacity is great, and the price is very reasonable. It holds a charge well and gets the job done. Highly recommended!

Seems like a good deal, I got some as a backup and it turned into my main pack as the 4ah I already had are too bulky.

I bought two batteries for my Makita drill. One of the two was defective. Would no charge and the charger indicated a bad battery. The other was good. I had not problems returning the bad one and got refunded.

This battery looks and fits like a genuine Makita battery, see side-by-side photos attached to this review. It is identical in width and length and about 1 mm shorter. It weighs a little less; my Makita 2 Ah is 1 lb 3.6 oz and this battery is 1 lb 1.8 oz.I tested the capacity using a work light that is rated for 11 hours use on a 5 Ah battery, or about 2.2 hours of use per Ah of battery capacity. The Makita 2 Ah battery ran for 4 hours 32 minutes, so that's about right. I tested this battery twice and it lasted approximately 2 hours 45 minutes both times, so I figure that's about 1.25 Ah of capacity.The charge indicator LEDs do not behave as you'd expect. For the first two hours of use it showed all 4 LEDs lit. Then for the next forty minutes there were 3 LEDs at full brightness as the fourth LED slowly dimmed (see photo, taken at two hours 30 minutes). At two hours and 42 minutes, there were 2 LEDs lit. At two hours, 42 minutes, and 30 seconds, there was 1 LED dimly lit. At two hours, 43 minutes, there were no LEDs lit. And at two hours, 45 minutes, and 15 seconds, the work light turned off. Essentially, you will see all four LEDs lit for the first 80% of use, and only in the last 2% of use will you see 2, 1, and then 0 LEDs lit.Otherwise I had no problems charging and using this battery and at the current sale price of $10.98 I'm tempted to pick up a couple just for the situations where I'm working overhead and want to minimize tool weight.

This one is a little tricky since the first battery was defective and didn’t work. This doesn’t bode well for quality and reliability. I decided to take apart the replacement unit and see what was inside. To my surprise the cells are what you would find in a ryobi battery pack. So, the cells are good quality at least. From a visible inspection the quality is much better than some I’ve seen with solder tabs on batteries and wires everywhere. This feels much more like a battery pack from a tool manufacturer than a small shop pushing them out. I’m apprehensive to try it on my higher draw tools but on some lights and other small devices it works great. The cells themselves are rated for 6Ah in the configuration so no overstating capacity with this one. Overall, I would be cautions of buying more from them and if you do buy it just test it quickly and make sure you do a thorough break in during the 30 days return window.
