Only 2 notebooks were delivered even though listing is for 4 notebooks. I paid $2.99 for faster shipping also cause I needed them all today for gifts tomorrow.

The thin cardboard strip (spine) is used to keep the cover flat when you heat-press, you then throw it away, it is not included in finished book. You secure the cover to the book by attaching both adhesive parts to the cardboard cover, then you place the book in the center (where you removed the thin cardboard strip) and fold the cover in. The picture in the product description shows you this. If the cover wants to stay open, placing book under a weight overnight will fix. Your heat press/ink/sublimation paper system may be different than mine but I get a perfect press at 395°F for 70 second at medium pressure.

I love the way it turned it out. However I expected at least the dollar store size journals. Also no instructions on how to get the paper to stick back in the journal so I messed up a few then figured it out. For the price it was decent but not what I was looking for.

LOVE how this book turned out. I ended up gluing the book into the cover after sublimating it because the enclosed double-sided tape didn’t work well for me. Also I left out the cardboard piece for the spine. It didn’t fit well and would have made the book too stiff to close well. (I like it better with the soft spine, anyway.) Altogether, it made a WONDERFUL little book! Perfect size and sublimated beautifully at 360º for 60 seconds.
