I bought one that looked like mine with the same manufacture number from Lowe’s and it only had three or four threads to it where I needed to have about a half an inch or eight threads and this one had the eight threads the Lowe’s one did not tighten all the way This one fit on so easy absolutely perfect gave me two washers in and out in new time works great!!!

My city pressure is about 95 psi, which was causing premature failure on indoor appliances and valves. No previous regulator, so I was cutting into my PVC supply line to make a space. The double union makes this a much easier install in a tight space when you've got the family waiting for the water to be back on. Set this at about 55 psi and it is working as expected with indoor appliances running much quieter. No issues with noise, vibration, or leaks on my install.This says it comes preset at 50 psi. Don't rely on that. You will need a test gauge on a hose spigot to dial it in to your installation. Realize this is the static pressure. When you open a faucet full, it will drop to the working pressure, up to about 15 psi lower. With water saving sinks and showers, the flow is low enough that you don't notice more than one in use. But if you're in the shower and someone opens a full flow valve like starting a washing machine, yes, you will feel a significant pressure drop. This is an entry level regulator for basic household use. If you have a big family and high simultaneous water use, you should upgrade to one of the heavier duty regulators or maybe even multiple regulators in parallel to the meet your demand. The documents at Zurn Wilkins outline this. Best practice is also to install a pressure expansion tank near the water heater and water hammer arrestors at any appliance with a solenoid valve, like the washer.

I bought this unit to replace our existing home pressure valve. Any DIY person should be able to install this product as long as they READ the instructions. This was a better unit than the one I replaced and it fit perfectly. No issues on installation, or setting the pressure required.

Exactly what I expected. Could get faster than the wholesaler. Easy install and set up. Knocked down the domestic pressure from 98psi to 45.
