Over the years I have tried hats in many shops. My usual problem is that standard (one-size) hats are too small for my head. I thought I would try this one, as it seemed to offer a suitable option. At almost 24-inch circumference, the size guide indicated XL, so that's what I ordered.Initially I thought I made a huge mistake. The hat was too BIG for my head - sitting over my ears like a bucket. However, then I noticed two little ends of ribbon coming out from under the inner brim tape. YES, you can adjust the fit by pulling on these ribbons. It only took a little tension and a couple of tries to get the hat fitting snugly to my head. Great! See photo of the ribbons and care label.I have not tried the hat on a long day in the sun, so cannot prove it protects my bald spot, but I see no reason why not. The weave is dense and the brim gives extra shade to the head too.Other aspects are all good. It comes in minimal packaging (just a clear plastic bag) and can be reshaped (if required) with a little steam or gentle iron. But I found that it sprang back into shape quite readily with no such intervention. The hat is well made and finished. The colour I chose was black, which is actually a charcoal grey.In fact, the only "flaw" I could find was a very small "join" in the weave, on the front right side. I've tried to photograph it, but if you can't spot it in the middle of the photo, that shows how subtle this is!Price-wise, this seems in the same ball park as most on Amazon, maybe a little higher. But I think it's fair value for what you get.

If you're a bit of a baldy like me, then you need something like this on hot sunny days to keep your pate from scorching.This is a smart and very light hat, fits well and feels very comfortable. I took it on a country walk and didn't really notice it, which speaks volumes for its wearability. There's a soft headband which seems to prevent any rubbing or scratching.Excellent choice of colours and sizes, brim not too wide, claims UV Protection Factor of 50 (not sure how they test this). There are two small drawstrings inside to tighten up the fit if necessary.It's 90% paper so I'm not sure how it would hold up in a rainstorm, but it's definitely a great buy for sunny days.I'm a happy hat-wearer...

Has started coming apart after only 5 days of normal use. Returning it.Update:They reached out and refunded me without question. Great customer service! I will likely get another from these folks. The three stars is just for the unfortunate quality of this one item.

Der Hut macht einen schönen Eindruck, nur kam er leider völlig zerdrückt in der Amazon Versandtüte bei mir an. Sehr schade! Hab ihn zurück geschickt.
