This grinder made me fall in love with fresh ground coffee all over again. The crank moves smoothly without feeling like a workout, and the settings give you real control over your grind whether you like French press or a fine espresso. It is small enough to take on trips and sturdy enough for everyday use. The blue color adds a cheerful touch. A great little companion for mornings that start slow and good.

This is my second coffee grinder review in the last several months and I can tell you that without a doubt this grinder is much better than the more expensive previous competitor. The grinder is easy to use with a huge range of different grind sizes from fine to extremely course. Will this grinder make a fine dust that everyone wants for espresso? Not quite it does do a fine grind but I do bot think that it will please the espresso crowd. For me however, I am a French Press guy and for that this grinder is amazing. The overall build quality and ease of use is top notch, and it is easy to disassemble and clean when needed, (the competition I tested got destroyed because it would not come apart for cleaning and was sent to the scrap) take your time to learn how to properly calibrate this grinder and it will serve its purpose well for years with little to no maintenance. What didn’t I like about this grinder? Well only one thing honestly, the top with the crank handle is easy to put on and only a quarter twist holds it in place, but that is the short coming because it also easily pops off from time to time while grinding. If you hold it tight and place the grinder in the counter this will usually suffice, but it is a small nuisance that I would like to see improvement on, this might be as simple as using an oring for a seal and a bit more friction, either way overall this is a great grinder for the price.

For an occasional coffee grind, this is a nice little grinder. It is compact, easy to use and makes quick work of a single cup of coffee. If you are a big coffee drinker and grind a lot of your own beans, this is not the best tool. I do like having this in my camping pack and it is great for a quick cup over the camp fire. Very handy, easy to use and perfect for a day pack.
