This review is for Didriksons - Wide Jacket - Women's Spring Jacket - Waterproof and WindproofI received this to review as part of the Amazon vine program.I was a bit worried this jacket would end up being very wide, due to the name. I followed the measurements in the listing to select my size – I am a 14-16 and went with the 16 as I like a bit of room in case I want to wear a bulky jumper. I found the 16 fit me well. The colour of this is oyster lilac. In the photos I thought it looked pink but upon arrival it is definitely a light lilac colour. This jacket is evidently well made, with thoughtful features such as ability to adjust hood depth, or Velcro at the cuffs. This really is a high quality jacket and will be very useful in variable spring weather.

Straight out of the packaging it is clear that this is a jacket of some quality.It is relatively lightweight and the fabric has a lovely feeling to it. Despite it being waterproof and windproof, the material does not feel like that 'plasticky' material that you normally associate with waterproof properties. It has a distinctive softness to it.The design has been well though out, in terms of the number, size and location of pockets, the adjustable cuffs and the hood can also be adjusted.My wife really likes this jacket and has used it in anger in the Scottish weather. It has absolutely kept her dry and less windswept so a thumbs up overall.It is a premium product and this is reflected in the price. But you do get excellent quality for that.

This is a superb quality “wide jacket” which gives a true to size but with a deliberate loose and slightly oversized fit for comfort, that is waterproof and windproof. It has a superb dark orange colouring (like a mix of orange and red) that is labelled as brique red.It is extremely well made, well stitched and well finished with a wide array of small details that show a lot of thought in the garment. It looks great on, It has an inner lining, it has adjustable cuffs with velcro and also velcro on the hood that can tighten them to enhance the wind and waterproof protection. I really liked the fact that behind the zipper it also has an underlying popper button so even unzipped the jacket still holds together.It has a drawstring for the hood but another lovely little touch is that the drawstrings on either side hold together at the hood, but the loose string below is held in place by stitching so does not fly around everywhere.It is extremely comfortable to wear and exudes quality in all regards. It also has two very large side pockets on the front of the jacket. The jacket itself is machine washable according to the product page. At the time of writing this jacket was on sale at £112 which I think represents excellent value for the sheer quality of this jacket.

I have been wanting a fully windproof, yet lightweight jacket for a long time and I am really pleased with this item.The material is lovely and the seams really well made. Pockets are more than adequate and the hood has a helpful brim on it to keep rain out of your face. It is rather hard to see with this pulled forward, but it is optional as you can push it back. Nevertheless, it is useful to have it in driving rain.The sleeves are excellent – very long in length, but completely adjustable with Velcro. What I would like to see is the ability to pull in the bottom of the jacket to keep it snug around your thighs if it is windy.All in all this is a lovely jacket . Sizingis quite generous, so measure carefully.
