Don’t want to go through the hassle of a return, but these brushes are junk. The ferrule is loose on each brush. The bristles are fraying during first gentle use. My brush is wet and this is what the bristles look like! Lousy!

I remember the days of having to buy genuine sable from overseas when synthetics just couldn't get the quality there. Finally, I can find synthetic sable brushes that hold up! This filbert set is awesome, and I love how the long handles help me control the brush while maintaining distance from the canvas. I still prefer not to use oil or acrylic with my sables, even synthetic, so I pretty much only use these with the watercolor and gouache to preserve the quality as long as possible.

Filbert Paint Brushes Set, Synthetic Sable Oval Wash Paintbrushes for Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil, Tempera and Gouache Painting Long Handle 6-PieceThese are great brushes. They are made well with quality materials. The brushes are easy to clean, and the price is significantly better than some art stores. We are grateful to have them, my wife loves the addition to her brushes.
