This "Giottos AA1920 Rocket Air Blaster Small-Black" is an outstanding air blaster for its size. Compared with other "free" or low-cost products of this type that I've tried, this one is considerably more durable, blasts noticeably more air, and is ideal in size (small enough to be portable, large enough to be easy to operate with good air volume). It stands about 5 inches tall (including the long red straw tip) and is approximately 2.5" in diameter. That means it fits easily into relatively small travel packs/cases like my Thule Perspektiv Compact Sling bag and takes up approximately the same space as a mid-size prime lens. The weight is almost imperceptible, yet the dust-blasting performance is great. The price is great, too, for a product this well-made and convenient. If you're looking for a travel-friendly air blaster to clear dust and debris off your lenses and camera sensor, this is highly recommended!A note about air blasters: If you're not sure why you would want this, trust me: Whenever you can blow your lenses clean INSTEAD of wiping them (even if you use the softest microfiber cloth available), it is much better to use air. Whereas wiping the lens can leave smudges or stray fuzz/threads--or in the worst case, can scratch your lens due to an embedded grain of sand or hard debris--the air is gentle, causes no smudging, and leaves no residue. Sooner or later, you will have an oily smudge or water spot that has to be wiped, but 99% of the time, I find that the only cleaning my lens needs is to air-blast away a stray fuzzy or thread that came from the interior of my camera case. And ESPECIALLY if you shoot photos near the beach, desert, or other dry/sandy environment, this air blaster will eventually save you scratches on your lens or on your protective filter (if you use UV/Skylight filters to protect the lens), as it is inevitable that a grain of sand will get on your lens at some point, and wiping is the worst thing you can do to get rid of it. I hope that advice helps! If you've never tried an air blaster or only ever used the low-quality freebies that come with some "package deals" when you buy a new camera, give this one a try. It's great!

I just received mine today and I LOVE it! I initially purchased the Large version of this item, without looking at the product's dimensions - sadly the Large size is much too big to fit into my camera bag as something I'd be able to always have with me, but I still kept the Large version because it is substantially more powerful than this Small size which makes it great for blowing dust off my sensor when I'm at home. But this Small version is perfect for taking with me, since it easily fits into my camera bag. It's great for blowing dust off the front and rear glass of my lenses, and is also very useful for blasting dirt off my DSLR's mirror and interior. It's true that this Small version has a lot less blowing power than the Large version, so it may not remove any stuck-on dirt or dust, but it works wonders for anything loose. The best feature of this blower (in my opinion, at least) is the valve that prevents it from sucking in dust that you're blowing out - both the Small and Large versions include this feature, which makes it one of the best air blasters on the market that I've used or seen. Cannot recommend this item enough! If you aren't concerned with being able to always carry it with you, and you care more about power, I would suggest choosing the Large version instead. But if you want one that you can easily fit into your camera bag, this Small version is definitely the one to get!

This is the smallest of the Giottos "rocket" blowers. Operation is simple, just squeeze the bulb to generate a blast of air to blow dust off your camera lens. The "rocket fins" let you stand it up so the nozzle has no chance of picking up dirt or mud that might block the hole or transfer to your lens. They also have holes in that you could use to attach the blower to a neck, camera or bag strap. It is obviously less effective than its bigger brothers, it holds less air and there's less to grip to aim and hold it steady. You need to pump it a little harder, and it requires some practice to keep the nozzle pointing in the right direction as you squeeze it. I find it best to close my hand around it, almost making a fist, with the nozzle sticking out at a right angle to my fingers. If size is no issue, better to buy the bigger versions. But if you are short of space in your camera bag, or you want something unintrusive that you can hang on a neck or camera strap - then this is ideal. Once I got the hang of using it, I've found it very effective for keeping my lenses etc dust-free out in the field.
