The foot projects to the front more than the original. I'm unable to balance the 600mm f4 II with a 2xIII and an R3 on a gimbal. The setup is camera heavy, unable to slide the foot further back due the the profile change. DISAPPOINTING!!!Well made but not fit for my purpose. Another camera accessory in the bin.

This is a perfectly well-made product. But sadly it doesn't fit the EF 500 f4 IS ii - well it screws in fine but it will not balance it on gimbal.This seems all rather picky surely - it does serve as a mount - and is solid and well made - it would fit a tripod fine and I would trust it - and to be fair the company does not say will fit that lens .BUT the primary use of this lens I would seriously think is on a gimbal so this might be important to you. IF you are buying it for a lens it doesn't claim to fit that is !So why did I buy it !!!!??? Well another review says it fit her 500mm just great - well I guess she doesn't want it to balance on a gimbal.For info I use an R5 so light compared to say a 1D or 5D series - and often a 2x - and the lens cannot be moved forward enough to balance. If you dont know what I'm talking about fine !SO in summary the manufacturers are right !!!! It does not fit an EF 500 IS f4 ii.

I have Haoge feet on a couple of my other lenses and was disappointed when I ordered the one they state is for the 500mm f4 lens as it wasn't long enough and you couldn't fit the hood on with it attached. I read the reviews of this product and saw that although it wasn't listed to cover an 800mm someone had used it for that - I thought I'd give it a try for my lens which also wasn't listed. Perfect fit. If I could say anything it might be that it could do with being a tad longer to enable better balance with a heavy camera, but it's as long as RRS version and very sturdy for less than half the price!! Can attach the hood while in use.

Der Haoge Ersatzfuß ersetzt bei mir den originalen Fuß mit einer Novoflex Platte.Abgesehen von den geringeren Bauhöhe, benötigt weniger Platz im Trolley, ist der Fuß wertig und funktioniert tadellos. Er lässt sich in der Novoflex q=Base genauo festklemmen, wie eine originale Platte von Novoflex. Die schwarze Beschichtung nützt sich im Klemmbereich natürlich ab, aber nicht stärker als bei wesentlich teureren Produkten.

Passt perfekt auf mein Canon EF 200-400mm f4 und ist genau das was ich gesucht habe, nämlich eine Variante das Objektiv auf einen Arca Swiss Neigekopf aufzusetzen ohne dabei eine Adapterplatte verwenden zu müssen. Eine Gummierung an der Oberseite wie beim Original würde den Objektivfuß noch perfekter machen, die fehlt leider...
