if you are going to shoot portraits outdoors in the bright sunlight and don't want to use HSS......this is what you need. Its works with whatever sized lens you have and you don't need to worry about filter size.

I have filters from the "other" company that a couple of YouTubers are using. However, they will not stay "snapped" into place, but rather just fall out. So, I went ahead and purchased the Kase versions. These are half the price and they stay snapped into place.

Perhaps I was expecting too much from this filter. It says it's an ND8 which is 3 stops. But, I put it on my a73 Sony and it acts like a 6 stop. I won't give it low marks for that though. Where I have to take a star away from it is because you cannot help but put your finger on the filter when placing it above the sensor. It's inevitable! You remove the lens, you place the sensor in there (with the words on the filter facing the sensor and you snap it in. Part of my finger is going to touch that filter, which makes me then use a soft cloth to clean it away. Looking on youtube, some of the filters came with mini finger gloves. Well, mine didn't. That would have probably prevented my fingers from touching the filter. But, having the filter above the sensor does eliminate the need to buy several lens filters. I just wish it was not so dark. I have a tiffen lens filter and it's not as dark as this so called 3 stop filter. If I ever shoot at 12pm in the afternoon though, this will definitely be my go to filter (if I don't die in Arizona heat).
