prefer the previous outlook of lonelyplanet guides...not a lot of information about the sights...full of unnecessary tips where to eat the best canolli in each town....

I really enjoyed the lonely planet books before. They gave a great overview about what to do, how to get around and where to eat. This New Design is just a joke. A lot of pictures but Almost no recommendations. This is all the food recommandation for Catania you get for example. Thanks for Nothing....

I‘ve used LPs to plan trips all around the world for more than 20 years. I especially liked the detailed descriptions and the amount of information given.The new format has nothing of that - everything is shortened to a very brief overview. Restaurant recommendations? Well, sometimes - but of course no dish recommendations anymore. Opening times? Optional if at all. This also goes for most attractions… price range for restaurants or ticket-information for attractions? Obviously not necessary anymore…In short: after 20+ years & 50+ books this is the last LP for me as the new style makes the LPs useless for me.
