Meike 85mm F1.8 lens is constructed of nine elements in six groups and has multi-layer coatings on the front and rear elements.
CA (Chromatic Aberration) is remarkably well controlled throughout the aperture range. It is very unlikely that CA will be seen as a problem and if further correction is ever needed we can of course look to software solutions.
It's a crop sensor camera, this 85mm lens equates to about a 135mm lens

Non voglio essere eccessivamente severo nella mia recensione perché resta un obiettivo veramente economico ma la qualità costruttiva è veramente bassa e l’auto focus fatica molto in condizioni di luce mancante o eccessiva, arrivando persino al crash in un’occasione. La lente non sarebbe nemmeno pessima sebbene non abbia una grandissima nitidezza, rovinata però da importanti aberrazioni cromatiche, il bokeh invece è molto piacevole. Consiglio se non si hanno grandissime pretese e se si ha l’occasione di usarlo soprattutto su soggetti non in forte movimento o preferibilmente fermi e in condizioni di luce ottimale. Segnalo inoltre che sul mio esemplare, probabilmente difettato, il paraluce fatica molto ad entrare in sede. Consiglio comunque di orientarsi su ottiche più rinomate usate In quanto non ci sarà una grandissima differenza di prezzo, provvederò ad effettuare il reso soprattutto per il difetto del paraluce.

This lens has flaws like chromatic aberration at wide apertures but goes away at f2 - f2.8. What I like with this lens is, of course, the price and also good for portraiture coz of the shallow depth of field. The bokeh is very smooth. Also, I was able to use it on low light scenes (like in a bowling center). The colors are crisp. It also fits with one my photography genre which is landscape. It's not perfect or comparable to other high end 85 mm lenses, but for the price, it's worth it. I find this lens fun to use. It's always attached to my Sony A7IV most of the time.

it’s cheap but if you can afford the g master or the sony then go for it…although this one really works perfectly fine.

at first i was not sure what to expect from the lens at this price range ,but this lens is nothing short of amazingThe only downside is that its 97% plastic made and the manual focus ring is not as smoothbut aside of that it is quick and reliableITS A MUST HAVE

Ich weiß nicht, ob das Meike-Objektiv mit der Sensorauflösung meiner a7R III überfordert ist (42 MP), aber bei meinen Testaufnahmen war die Bildschärfe sehr schlecht, selbst in der Bildmitte im Fokuspunkt. Das gesamte Bild wirkt matschig, da nützt mir auch ein schönes Bokeh nichts.Zudem ist der Autofokus sehr langsam und pumpt stark.You get what you pay for.

I am always glad to see more lenses on the market. Especially with new brands and thought i might test the meike 85mm 1.8 out.I have multiple 85mm lenses and like to compare them. So i made several shootings now with this lense and its very light and the AF-works very good. Tested on a Sony a7iii, Sony a7iv and Sony a1.This lense combines a good bokeh with an affordable price. Especially for fullframe cameras lenses with 1.8 aperture can be very expensive. After several shootings i am still very happy with this purchase!For everyone who wants a great lense to get into portrait photography with prime lenses this is the way to go!Updated: now after months still satisfied! If something will not work i will update it here.

Da ich ein Festbrennweiten Objektiv für Porträtaufnahmen benötigt habe ,ist die Entscheidung auf das 85 mm Objektiv mit AF von Meike gefallen.Ein wirklich sehr tolles Objektiv, Preis-Leistung ist sowieso unschlagbar, und die Verarbeitung ist sehr solide .Die Gegenlichtblende macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und lässt sich gut montieren.Ich bin sehr zufrieden hinsichtlich der Bildqualität da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Vor allem der Autofokus überzeugt mich vollstens und ist eine wichtige Hilfestellung für mich beim fotografieren gewesen gewesen.Getestet habe ich das Objektiv zusammen mit der Sony Alpha 7 IV und spreche hier eine klare Kaufempfelung wer auf der Suche nach einem günstigen aber professionellen Objektiv ist.
