I had an OLD serial modem with external power supply. But this way it works directly from a usb device.It works fine with Linux but i had some trouble with windows. So i just used the linux system. Now it works. Thanks.

Ccommandé pour avoir un modem GSM juste pour l'envoi de sms. Produit de bonne facture, livré avec un cordon usb assez long et une petite antenne, la configuration sur un raspberry pi , reconnu sans souci, sur gammu bien mettre la vitesse a 115200, les sms sont envoyés et reçus sans souci. Ne chauffe pas donc bien mieux que les dongles LTE USB, le prix est raisonnable.

ottimo modulo,io lo uso da un mese circa, e lavora bene che si puo' impiegare in diversii fattori dii invio dati, e viceversa con appositi software acquistabili in rete

I had to troubleshoot on my own and discovered that this modem by default uses 115200,8,n,1 as opposed to the common 9600,8,n,1 listed on the prolific driver default settings in Windows after installation. One other extremely very important thing to make it work, make sure you Assert the RTS Handshaking Line in your comport to true as opposed to NONE which is default. Once this is done, this modem start working like a charm if you know your AT commands of course. I suspect lack of this info on these default settings is why it never responds or works for most users who buy it and end up condemning it. For those it works for first time, I also suspect it will simply have been by chance that they will have got the bound rate and handshaking correct first time. Its sad that this very basic info should have been readily supplied / marked on this otherwise beautiful device by the manufacturer. So I gave 5 starts to the modem but 1 start to the manufacturer for lack of documentation. This good modem has no owner in this regard.

Das GSM Modem ist als SMS Box im Einsatz, um bei Ausfällen von Diensten im Netzwerk SMS Benachrichtigungen rauszuschicken.In Kombination mit SMSTools kann das GSM Modem ohne weitere Installation von Treibern unter Debian, Ubuntu, Raspbian und Co verwendet werden (PL2303)Ich nutze es mit einem Raspberry Pi und CheckMK als Monitoring Lösung. Das Gerät muss lediglich über die mitgelieferte 1M USB Verlängerung angeschlossen werden und wird über den USB Port mit Strom versorgt. Danach kann direkt über AT Befehle auf das Gerät zugegriffen werden.Einige Rezensionen beklagen, dass es Probleme beim SMS Empfang gebe.... ich nutze ausschließlich den Versand von SMS, daher kann ich nichts dazu sagen. Der SMS Versand funktioniert aber tadellos und ich hatte bisher noch keinerlei Ausfälle des Modems.Auch das Gerät selbst ist 1A verarbeitet, komplett aus Alu... Was will man letztendlich mehr? Für diesen Preis erhält man ein für meinen Einsatzzweck perfektes GSM Modem.

At work, we bought 2 of these modems, one with USB interface and one with RS-232 interface.Both of them showed the same behaviour:Sending SMS works great without problems and very stable (therefore 2 stars), but receiving SMS is completely broken.It only works once and then ceases to function forever.We tried different SIM cards, different methods to query the phone's memory for new SMS, to no avail.It may be a hardware of firmware bug, because the same bug showed up on both variants (RS-232 and USB).New SMS just don't show up. If we put the SIM card into another GSM modem of a different brand or into a mobile phone, the missing SMS get received.There are also no firmware upgrades available from the vendor, so this bug cannot be fixed and we are very angry that we now have to trash the modems, as they are useless.So be warned: SMS sending yes, SMS receiving no.

Ich habe das Modem mit O2 und SMSTools3 unter Linux im Einsatz.SMS senden oder empfangen funktioniert tadellos.Klare Empfehlung.

Ich habe das Gerät für ein selbst gebautes Alarmsystem auf Linux-Basis gekauft.Das GSM-Modem hat intern einen USB-Seriell-Chip vom Typ PL2303 von Prolific verbaut.Unter Debian 9 (Stretch) wurde der Chip sofort erkannt und als /dev/ttyUSB0 eingebunden.Ein Zugriff auf das verbaute Wavecom Q2303A GSM-Modem war sofort mit Minicom per AT-Interface möglich.Das Modem setze ich mit dem SMS-Daemon "gammu-smsd" erfolgreich ein, um SMS senden und empfangen zu können.Das ganze System ist nun unabhängig von einer funktionierenden Internet-Anbindung und schickt neben einer E-Mail auch eine SMS raus, wenn es etwas zu melden gibt.Dem Modem lagen eine Antenne und zwei Halteösen aus Blech bei, die an der kurzen Seite jeweils in das Gehäuse eingeschoben werden können. Zusätzlich lag ein kleiner Zettel dabei mit einem Link zum Treiber.Wie schon vorab vermutet, handelt es sich bei dem Treiber lediglich um den Treiber für den PL2303. Mehr ist ja auch eigentlich nicht notwendig.Die negativen Rezensionen kann ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen.Es unterstützt _kein_ GPRS oder EDGE. Ein Internetzugang wie bei einem modernen 3G/4G USB Surf Stick ist damit nicht möglich.

Gerät ließ sich unter WIN7 nicht installieren und habe im Netz auch keine passenden Treiber gefunden! Schade, muß jetzt weiter suchen.
