If you're having a problem finding veins on a patient that has already been stabbed multiple times (which is likely as you wouldn't need a vein finder on an easy bleed), you're not going to be able to see beyond the bruising. The lights even when dimmed are quite bright when you're looking for a while.

I've only used this on myself and not in a medical setting but it shows veins up very clearly so will be of great use for medical staff trying to get lines into patients with hard to see veins for sure, easy to use and so far no issues at all.

This is exactly what I needed. And I'm very impressed with how this was packed upMake sure you follow all the instructions on how to use this as it can be a bit tricky. Once I worked it out it was very easy to use and worked really well. I'm very impressed with the quality of this. I recommend it

This vein finder comes with charging wire, 2 light colour modes with varying brighess levels and easy to follow instructions.The tool feels a little bit cheap, almost toy like in feel. The buttons also feel quite cheap. I think it would warrant from being made better with sturdier buttons that don't feel so flimsy. It does however wipe clean easily which is a must for using in clinical settings.It does a good job of showing up veins, even really deep ones. It simply makes them look black in contrast to the rest of the skin. The only other issue is that the design does make it a little tricky to cannulate in the area due to the bulkiness of the vein finder. It is possible but makes it slightly more challenging.Overall, this works well at making even the deepest veins visible, but also feels a bit cheaply made for the price.
