This keeps my grandkids from entering the pool. The adjustment on the item are very limited. Meaning if you have a ladder that is wider than standard it won't work.

I bought this for my pool ladder. Good quality and held up all summer. It was easy to use and done exactly what I needed it to do.

Depending on your child, this may or may not work. For me, it didn't work but that's because my son is a very determined toddler! I have a twin size bunk bed for him and obviously while he's too young to go on the top bunk, I want to make that inaccessible to him. He managed to get around the cover and make his way up at least one rung anyway so I just took the whole thing down because I didn't want to risk it! This may be better for a younger baby who's starting to learn how to climb, but not sure how long it'll ward them off for. As for me, I ended up just unscrewing the ladder from the bunk bed entirely.
