Wow!It is really comfortable to use. I was surprised at how well it fits in my hand.It has great button customization but lacks Linux software (works on Linux very well, but there is no Linux software for customization).It works well with AA battery or wired, but I wish it had USB-C instead of microUSB.

Funktioniert einwandfrei, leichte Bedienung. Der Nachteil ist, das man sich die Gebrauchsanweisung nach langem Suchen in deutsch runterladen muss, da sie ansonsten nur chinesisch oder ähnliches ist.

Meine alte Trackball ist in die Jahre gekommen. Was och wollte ist: aufladbar und programmierbar. Beides zusammen ist nicht leicht zu finden. Bin dann auf die ELECOM gestoßen. Die ist zwar nicht aufladbar, aber zumindest kann man die Kabelgebunden benutzen.Die Maus selber ist recht groß. Für die meisten Frauenhände wohl eher nichts. Ansonsten liegt sie gut in der Hand, ist aber etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Der Ball lässt sich leicht entfernen. Reinigung ist bei einem Trackball öfter von Nöten. Fett und Staub lässt sich eben nicht vermeiden.Der Grund warum ich die Maus NICHT behalten werde ist folgender. Ich wollte programmierbare Tasten. Derer gibt es so einige. Die benötigte Software ist in englisch und diversen asiatischen Schriftzeichen. Leider kann man nicht frei programmieren sondern ist auf die Vorgaben des Herstellers angewiesen. Reines Standard Zeug wie Lautstärke, Arbeitsplatz... Nichts aufregendes. Die Auswahl ist zwar reichlich aber für mich nicht sinnvoll.Die Maus funktioniert auch ohne diese Software. Aber ich brauche und wollte etwas mehr.

This mouse has several significant problems.(A) the mouse is uncomfortable one your wrist due to it's size and shape (which is ironic as it's an ergo-mouse).(B) the scroll where doesn't work a lot of the time and it feels awful compared to scroll wheels on other mice(C) the left and right click buttons require significantly more force to depress compared to other mice, so it's uncomfortable on the joint of your index finger(D) the software for customising the mouse buttons is terrible, it doesn't work half the time. I have tried on both Mac and Windows and have similar issues. This is a huge let down as the only thing that distinguishes this mouse from similar ones is the customisable buttons. But the reality is the software doesn't work half the time so the customisable buttons are rendered useless.I will be returning this mouse. Avoid.

Venivo dal modello EX-G sempre della Giapponese ELCOM. Questa versione PRO E' NETTAMENTE superiore come Trackball, la migliore sul mercato (molto meglio ormai da tempo, dei prodotti Logitech, che una volta erano lo standard), di granlunga.Rispetto alla versione EX-G, la shell in plastica su cui ci si appoggia è MOLTO piu' ampia, avvolgente, ergonomica, specialmente per chi ha dita lunghe direi che è fondamentale passare a questa.Ci sono molti tasti, ma purtroppo non c'è un tool per Linux per programmarli, questa è grave una pecca (si possono programmare alla fine su Linux, ma bisogna farlo configurando delle gesture e facendo tanti tentativi).Il grande sensore rosso a sfera è più in piano e ha una ghiera di supporto sul bordo, che il modello EX-G NON ha; questo evita uscite dalla sede e la rotazione quindi è molto più precisa, non c'è paragone.Si alimenta con una batteria AA (Stilo), analogamente all'altro modello EX-G, ma questa ha una configurazione del pairing, e dei DPI molto più fine e precisa (il può andare sia in modalità filare che via bluetooth che wifi 2,4 GHz).Chi sta ore ed ora per lavoro con un mouse tutti i giorni, DEVE avere un oggetto del genere, secondo me, e chi usa una trackball conosce tutti i vantaggi di un'interfaccia di immissione come questa, che evita di affaticare l'avanbraccio e offre una relax e postura molti migliori rispetto ad un mouse classico, pure qui, non c'e' proprio paragone secondo me.Promuovo a pieni voti il prodotto, unica pecca il costo: 70 euro circa. Che per un prodotto di nicchia ci può anche stare, ma secondo me poteva tranquillamente stare sotto i 50, forse incidono i volumi ridotti di vendita.

Die Maus macht, was sie soll: sie ist schnell, und sie ist punktgenau.Meine alte Trackball-Maus hat sich vor etwa 1,5 Jahren "verabschiedet", habe also etwa eineinhalb Jahre mit einer "normalen" Maus gearbeitet, und mußte mich erst wieder an den Trackball gewöhnen, was etwa 2 Tage gedauert hat.Mit der von ELECOM heruntergeladenen Software (ELECOM MouseAssistent5) funktioniert das Teil super.

Die Maus von Elecom selbst wird vom MacBook M1 erkannt: 1 Mal, wenn man sie über USB-Dongle anschließt, 1 Mal, wenn man sie über Bluetooth verbindet und 1 Mal, wenn man sie über USB-Kabel anschließt. Aber nicht als Maus, sondern als Tastatur. Da fängt das Mysterium schon an.Gut, den Tastatur-Einrichtungs-Assistenten kann man unproblematisch abbrechen. Dann wenn man irgendwann die Bedienungsanleitung auf Englisch gefunden hat, versteht man, wie man zwischen Bluetooth und USB-drahtlos-Modus wechselt. Und der Trackball funktioniert. Alles ist gut, man muss sich nur reinarbeiten und am Ende wird alles gut. Dachte ich…Denn was Genauigkeit des Trackballs angeht, ist es wirklich ein Disaster. Die Maus ist darüber hinaus sehr unergonomisch, da man mit dem Daumen weit zur Seite greifen muss, die Hand lässt sich nicht einfach so hinlegen, sondern muss hin und her jongliert werden, wie als würde man Piano spielen ohne Ton. Das wäre aber alles noch halb so wild, wenn da nicht diese - man muss es so sagen - furchtbare Software wäre. Diese lässt sich zwar auf MacOS Monterey (vorausgesetzt, man hat Rosetta 2 installiert) installieren, wobei selbst der Installationsassistent von der "global" Variante der Hersteller-Seite ausschließlich mit japanischen Kanjis arbeitet. Sie lässt sich aber nicht starten. Tausende Walkarounds ausprobiert (siehe Reddit Posts), aber irgendwann ist mir meine Lebenszeit auch zu schade. Solange der Hersteller die Software nicht modernisiert, muss man leider auf andere Anbieter ausweichen. Man muss auch sehen, ohne Software sind einige Maustasten funktionslos. Für den Preis darf man schon erwarten, dass man nicht eine Drittanbieter-Software "ausprobieren" muss, welche im Schnitt weitere 20 Euro kostet.

Ich bin begeistert über die Funktionalität. Die ganze Maus ist etwas groß geraten, sodass man sich dran gewöhnen muss. Läuft aber einwandfrei bei Anwendungen und Spielen. Top Ding.

+++ Der Trackball läuft sehr gut - aber wie bei jedem Trackball muss man diesen öfters säubern.+++ Der Funktionsumpfang mit programierbaren Tasten ist super.+++ Das Design den Trackball aus der Mulde raus zu holen macht die Navigation viel leichter++ Das Scrawl-Rad kann man auch seitlich wippen - was ich wohl kaum nutzen werde.Kleines Minus:- Die Tasten sind so gestaltet dass man beim Umsetzen der Maus z.B. vorne anstoßen kann und damit eine Taste auslöst. Aber daran wird man sich gut gewöhnen können.- Die Bedienungsanleitung in der Packung war nur in asiatischen Sprachen, nicht mal Englisch. Über die Website ließ sich dann eine Anleitung mit europäischen Sprachen runterladen. Dort fand sich auch der Link zum runterladen des Programms mit dem die Tastenbelegung leicht und einfach definiert werden kann.

I use trackballs exclusively. I'm a software engineer, so I use them a lot, and won't tolerate 'glitches'.I have largish hands. The most comfortable I've ever found was the (obsolete) Microsoft Trackball Optical D67-00001. That one is sluggish for gaming though. But I've used them for 10 years, work and home, have several, and I've never had one die.I've used the the Logitech trackball, but I always find it overly sensitive, and just enough too small that I end up shaking out my hands a few times a day. I always end up going back to the Microsoft.I have 3 each of the Elecom M-XT3DR (R handed wired) and M-XT4DR (L handed wireless). After waxing the balls (Renaissance microcrystalline wax polish) and putting a little Teflon lube on the ball contact points, they work fine.I've been using a set at work and at home for about a year now. No complaints, no issues. Comfoartable - I never notice any discomfort or difficulty.I decided to try the M-XPT1MRXBK, as reviewers compared it favorably with the Microsoft.Got one, and have been using it on my home system for 6 months.Briefly:- It looks and feels like higher build quality than the other Elecom trackballs I've used. After six months of daily use the palm area is slightly shiny, but otherwise you couldn't tell it wasn't new. This is the first trackball I can say is unequivocally an acceptable replacement for the Microsoft.- It's a little bigger than the M-XT3DR (which is virtually identical in size/shape to the Logictech). It doesn't really have a bigger footprint, but does have more volume. It was immediately more comfortable to my hand than the M-XT3DR.it's definitely a step up from the M-XT3DR. It's my new favorite.- The ball moves quite smoothly right out of the box.I used it for a month or so unchanged, but found the ball start motion just sticky enough to be annoying, making selecting a few letters out of small text frustrating and difficult.Finally I pulled the ball, and waxed it and lubed the bearings as above. That made a small but significant improment. Now I have no issues at all with the movement. It's been about 4 months since I did that and it's still fine.- Wireless seems to work okay. I keep having an issue where If I don't use the trackball for several seconds, it 'stalls' for about half a second when I move it. I frequently move very quickly between (many) windows, and I have focus-follows-mouse set (so I don't need to click on a different window to 'select' it). Also I often move over a new window (which almost instantly gets 'selected') and start typing. Very often the first character I type is 'lost' if it's been a few seconds since I used the trackball. Very Annoying. I can't say for sure this is the trackball.- Wired. This is how I use it most of the time.Works great, and the half-second 'stall' I see when I'm using wireless is NOT present when I go wired. Not sure yet about the lost character issue.- HOWEVER, the micro USB socket on the trackball is does not snugly grip the connector. You can move the connector back and forth about +/-10 degress while it''s plugged in. I tried a better cable, which changed nothing. It just feels loose, although the socket itself is firmly attached to the trackball.I pried the top and bottom sicde of the socket in a little, to make a tighter fit, which helped some, but it still fis not snug.Unfortunately, the connector is apparently loose enough in the socket that if you physically move the (entire) trackball, about half the time it will suddenly quit working.At first this would happen occasionally (about once an hour) even if I didn't touch the trackball. (I suspect just the jarring from typing did it). Very Annoying.If you wiggle the connector the red 'connected' light comes on briefly, but the trackball generally doesn't reconnect. Sometimes you'll see an error popup about an unrecognized USB device. Usually you need to disconnect the cable briefly, then reconnect it, and it recovers correctly.After I bent the top and bottom of the socket in slightly it's never happened without me physically moving the trackball, and even then only about half the time.This is Very Annoying - but since it's a trackball, I rarely physically move it.So I forget, and then when I do move it, half the time I have to do the disconnect/reconnect. Grr.- Bluetooth - never tried it.- L, M, R buttons: No issues, ever. Short throw, definitele click, no missed/multiple clicks from a single motion.- Scroll wheel: It has a detent, but it's fairly light. I thought it would be too light for me at first, but I've never had an issue.- Forward/back button work fine and are perfectly placed.- 'sensitivity adjust' switch works, and bumps the effective motion up/down ~30%. I like a very responsive trackball, so I leave it on 'high' always.- I have not tried to use the pinky finger or thumb buttons, so I can't speak to them.The pinky button is perfectly placed, and feels just like the R button.The thumb button hits my thumb just below the joint, so It would be awkward to use more than occasionally. it would probably be perfectly placed if you have small hands.I originally installed their software, but never changed anything. So eventually I just disabled it, and the trackball still works fine.Recommended. (But you will want to wax the ball and Teflon the bearings).
