Spitzen Produkt! Absolut einfacher Einrichtungsprozess. Firmwareupdate wurde direkt aufgespielt. Habe den Wiim über Koax an meinen Denon PMA 1600NE Stereo Verstärker angeschlossen. Die zugehörige App lässt mich alles einstellen ohne lange suchen zu müssen. Danke dafür. Ich hoffe das auch so bleibt. Klang des Streamers ist mit meinem Setup klasse. Koax Ausgangsauflösung kann auf bis zu 192khz bei 24bits eingestellt werden. Gerät selbst ist schön verarbeitet. Nur der Wiim Ultra sieht optisch noch hochwertiger aus.

Ich bin begeistert, der Wiim ist endlich das erste Gerät dass mich beim Thema Musikstreaming voll überzeugt. Super integration aller Streamingdienste, Chrome Cast Audio, Airplay2, Bluetooth, Klangqualität soweit ich das beurteilen kann supergut, Gerät wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet, Software/App ist ausgereift und ich bin bis jetzt noch auf kein Bug gestoßen. Dazu kommt noch das offene API und UPNP, damit ist auch eine Integration ins Smart Home machbar, in meinen Augen bleiben bei diesem Gerät keine Wünsche offen.

Ich vergleiche hier (vielleicht nicht ganz fair) mein vorheriges Gerät, Yamaha WXAD-10 mit dem Wiim Pro Plus. Als erstes - die App ist deutlich besser, ausgereifter und optisch ansprechbarer - die Presets könnten etwas ausführlicher beschrieben werden (auch die vier Knöpfe auf der FB).Die Bedienung mittels Touchelemente auf der Vorderseite und die Fernbedienung fand ich sehr praktisch.Klang ist um mindestens eine, subjektive, Stufe besser, detaillierter und präziser.Den Equalizer nutze ich mit der Einstellung "Trebble Boost".Mein Verstärker ist die alte Yamaha AX 590 , hauptsächlich benutze ich Kopfhörer, Hifiman Sundara, und hier muss man beim Wechsel Boxen/Sundara die lautstärke anpassen !Die Nutzung des Amazon Music ist endlich möglich. Ich benutze aber haupptsächlich den Fritz Box NAS im Heimnetz. Hier hatte Yamaha öfters Verbingungs/Erkennungs Probleme, nicht so der Wiim.Für Testzwecke habe den Tidal abonniert - klanglich deutlich besser als der Rest, ausgenommen Qobuz.Das ganze System ist zuverlässiger.Wenn man aber das Gerät ausschalten möchte - bleibt nur die Trennung von der Steckdose. Einen Schalter gibt es nicht.Der Versuch den Klang mittels Anwendung des audiophilen DC-Netzteils zu verbessern war ein Reinfall - der Klang wurde grottenschlecht.Natürlich wäre ein kleiner Bildschirm nett - die Nutzung des Handy's ist hier notwendig und und nicht soo praktisch (entladen, verlegt, verwechselt ...).Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt total.Ein guter Kauf !Würde ich jederzeit nochmal machen !Andreas T.

Habe den Wiim Pro an meinem ONKYO TZX8390 installiert. Der ONKYO hat eigentlich Streaming selbst an Bord, aber leider nur SD. Zudem macht die Software beim ONKYO öfters Probleme und ONKYO kümmert sich anscheinend nach der Insolvenz nicht mehr um die vergangenen Modelle. Daher keine SW-updates, die das beheben würden. Der Verstärker des Recievers ist aber mit sienen 2 x 225 Watt sehr gut. Daher nun der WiiM als externer Streamer. Streaming funktioniert nun auch prächtig in HD und Ultra-HD über Pure.Audio. Einfach eiinzurichten und perfekter Klang. Auch sehr gute App. Absolut empefehlenswert.

I was looking for a Network streamer and did a bit of research on the internet and Youtube. After comparing the risk reward of each streamer, I finally bought one Wiim Pro Plus streamer.The initial sound from the Wiim Pro Plus connected to my Muzishare X7 integrated amp via a pair of Van Den Hul (The First) interconnect played through a pair of 92db Focal JMLab speakers was definitely better sounding than streaming via a Bluetooth receiver.Initially, even while I was streaming hi-res audio via Tidal, it sounded slightly flat and the sound stage felt a little compressed at the start.However, after watching a YouTube video on Best EQ settings by the cheapaudioman, I punch in the same setting he suggested and make some minor tweaks, and immediately the sound stage opened up, and the bass felt fuller.Now, I'm truly enjoying music that is streaming through the Wiim Pro Plus, playing Tidal via the Wiim home app.Be sure to fit this streamer with the best quality audio you can find, and it will definitely shine, it will not disappoint you.This is a highly recommended streamer at this price point for sure.

Habe mir den Pro auf der Suche nach einer Alternative zu meinem Sonos connect bestellt, weil mein Sonos-System der ersten Generation langsam in die Jahre kommt und ich die Einschränkungen der zweiten Generation in Kombination mit deren Preisen nicht akzeptieren möchte.Gerät wurde sehr schnell geliefert und ließ sich einfach installieren. Die im Produktblatt genannte Beschränkung auf das 2,4GHz-Band stimmt schon nicht mehr, das Gerät bucht sich sogar bevorzugt in das 5GHz-Band ein. Mal kurz die Pro's und Contra's aus meiner Sicht:PRO:- Qualitativ etwas besserer DAC als beim Sonos- Anbindung Bluetooth-Kopfhörer möglich bei gutem Klang (Sennheiser Momentum 4)- Guter Line-Ausgang, relativ gutes Kabel im Lieferumfang- TuneIn einfach einzubinden- Amazon Music einfach einzubinden- Raumeinmessung mit iPhone möglich, Ergebnis kann für parametrischen Equilizer genutzt werden- Getrennte Grundlautstärke und getrennter Equilizer je Eingang möglich- Einfache Anbindung digitaler Quellen- App hat viele Möglichkeiten der Voreinstellung- AirPlay 2 funktioniert auf Anhieb gut- Weckfunktionalität vorhandenCONTRA- Multiroom-Fähigkeit nur mit eigenen Geräten oder via Alexa, andere Sonos-Geräte können nicht angesteuert werden (was schade ist, da es technisch recht einfach zu gehen scheint und in verschiedenen freien Smart-Home-Installationen eingesetzt wird)- Die App ist etwas inkonsistent in der Bedienung- SMB-Quellen können nur etwas hakelig angebunden werden und danach werden auch nicht die Titel sondern die tatsächlichen Dateien angezeigt, beim Abspielen erscheint aber sowohl das Album-Cover als auch der korrekte Titel aus den MP3-Tags- Es können zwar Lieblingsalben, aber keine Lieblingssongs angebunden werden- Die Funktion, DLNA-Quellen direkt anzusteuern und aus den gefundenen Informationen eine eigene Datenbank aufzubauen ist zwar vorhanden, funktioniert aber nicht, es erfolgt aber auch keine Fehlermeldung- Die Ausgabe erfolgt nicht parallel auf allen Ausgängen, sondern der Ausgang muss explizit ausgewählt werden. Damit ist es z. b. nicht möglich Aktivlautsprecher mit eigenem DAC digital und einen Kopfhörerverstärker analog anzubinden und beide zu nutzen.- Alexa-Integration etwas hakeligDa ich die Multiroom-Funktionalität von Sonos jeden Morgen benutzte und auf dem Conect nicht gleichzeitig die lokalen Aktivlautsprecher und den Conect ansteuern kann, bin ich mir noch nicht schlüssig, ob ich das Gerät behalte. Würde ich im Moment ein Multiroom-System neu aufbauen, sähe das anders aus, da ich mir dann in den Räumen, in denen ich jetzt Sonos-Aktivlautsprecher betreibe mit entsprechend günstigeren Geräten von Amazon geholfen hätte - zum Radiohören reichen die voll und ganz aus.Zusammengefasst als Sonos S1-Ablösung kein wirklich geeignetes System - dazu müsste die App etwas konsistenter sein und die aktiven Komponenten von Sonos direkt ansteuerbar. Als brauchbarer Streamer und als DAC zu dem Preis eine Überlegung wert.

No me ha llevado ni 2 minutos conectarla incluida la actualización de software.Incluso el DAC en sorprendentemente bueno, la he conectado a unos monitores de estudio Genelec y suenan de miedo.La app es muy cómoda de usar, yo tengo Tidal y Soptify y accedo perfectamente a las dos, la app informa del bitrate y el tipo de archivo y frecuencia de muestreo, aparte ofrece un ecualizador paramétrico para adaptar los altavoces a la acústica de la sala.Recomiendo conectarla por ethernet mejor que wifi, va más fluida pero claro, si tienes el router lejos hay que usar cable largo…Encantado con la compra, me encanta la música y tengo un buen equipo, pero antes tenía que usar el ordenador conectado con cables al DAC y ahora desde el móvil gestiono todo y sin pérdida de calidad como con bluetooth o Airplay. Aquí el streamer descarga la música por erhernet o wifi y la envía por cable a los altsvoces: el móvil solo hace de controlador con lo que además no gastas batería

The forums are active,.the documentation is good.Amazon HD will stream at 192kHZ/24 bits, my wifi deals with this flawlessly. No dropouts at all.The app is good. Stable, easy to use.Apple music won't stream at high bit rates and there seems to be no solution. This is Apple's fault. There is no built in apple music client and all streaming options fall back to 16bit/44.1kHz, even Chromecasting. A USB C optical extractor works, but that's not streaming.I wish the wiim pro had two optical inputs as I could then connect the phone. I'm using the WiiM pro as my DAC at the moment. It's ok, Moore's law works it magic and it's better than my old dac. Excellent imaging. High bit rate music is a revelation, it's like rediscoving SACD.The USB C power cable is not very long. I ordered a 2m cable.

**UPDATESo, one super cool feature that the manufacturer added to the Wiim is Room Correction. My Wiim had been boxed up for a few months during & after a move. First, I want to note that it was really easy to reconfigure it for my new home wireless network via the Wiim phone app WITHOUT having to RESET the Wiim itself. I just had to hold the 'play' button on the Wiim until it blinked while I was holding my phone nearby and then I was able to update the Wiim's wireless network info to get it back online.Room correction worked as expected, which is to say the same way it works on other home AV receivers I've owned/used. This is a really cool feature to be added to the Wiim for free as part of a free firmware update. Thank you, Wiim!I should also note that in the 14 months I've owned my Wiim, minus the 4 months it was stashed in a moving box, it's worked fantastically. I mostly use it to stream music via Airplay to a 22 year old Sony AV 5.1 receiver powering a small bookshelf speaker/subwoofer setup. I do occasionally use the built in media player and it works well too - no problems. Wiim updates apply seamlessly, and it's been 100% reliable. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone thinking about getting one.ORIGINAL REVIEWGot this to replace a Bluetooth receiver that I had plugged into my 20+ year old Sony STR-DE845 AV receiver.The BT receiver works great, but it has a couple limitations:1 - One is that it when it's powered up, it automatically pairs with whichever device it was last paired with. Because I normally stream to it using an iPad, I can only stream using my iPhone if I go to the iPad and unpair it from the BT receiver, and then I have to the same thing with the phone when I want to use the iPad to stream again. I've been living with this for 4 years, so it's not unworkable, but that I have other streaming targets at home that don't require this has raised the bar a bit as far as my expectations go.2 - The BT receiver supports AptX and LDAC over Bluetooth, but since I am only streaming from Apple wireless devices I can only do AAC over Bluetooth since Apple doesn't support AptX or LDAC (and probably never will). The quality of AAC over Bluetooth is pretty good, but it's not CD-level quality playback which is what you get with a WiFi streaming protocol like Apple Airplay.The ability to play CD quality music streams from my iPad or my iPhone was the main reason for my purchase, and the WiiM Pro does this perfectly as an Airplay 2 receiver. Also, re: Airplay I figure that the protocol spec & implementation for Airplay isn't likely to change (there may be enhancements, but the existing spec should remain the same), so Airplay should always be available for streaming music to the Sony receiver.And that brings me to another great feature of the WiiM Pro, which is its ability to act as a standalone network streamer with native support for several streaming music services including Amazon Music, which is what I use. Initially, I thought I might find the WiiM's software UI (as installed on my iPhone & iPad) to be less than polished, but so far the software seems to work well. The biggest advantage to using the native streaming apps on the WiiM is that the stream quality can be much higher than 'just' CD quality that Airplay 2 supports (16-bit/44.1kHz - Amazon Music HD supports up to 24-bit/96kHz for some tracks, IIRC).The WiiM Pro app seems to work fine for streaming Amazon Music, and the menu looks the same as the one I use for streaming Amazon Music to to some modern Yamaha AV receivers MusicMatch app.Overall, this seems like a good device. The only open question is whether and how well WiiM will support it with necessary fixes/updates when needed!
